Now that the Fourth Street Preserve is being permanently protected and placed into conservation, a new chapter begins—restoration.
The Fourth Street Preserve Restoration Fund was created to support the critical next steps in caring for the land we worked so hard to save. These funds will help bring the forest back to ecological health and make it safely accessible for the community to explore and enjoy.
Your donation helps:
-
Remove invasive species like Japanese honeysuckle and multiflora rose that crowd out native plants and disrupt wildlife habitat.
-
Replant native trees and vegetation that support pollinators, birds, and local ecosystems.
-
Build low-impact trails and crossings so visitors can experience the forest.
-
Install interpretive signage to share the Preserve’s history and ecology with future generations.
-
Support long-term care of this forested land as it recovers and regenerates.
Together, we preserved the land. With your continued support, we can restore and sustain it.
